This program is for IT managers who manage 100s of devices, who cusomized MDM profiles and many other things that most average users do not deal with. BradGolden Works just fine I see a lot of negative comments here but I honestly believe that the reason is because people just don’t understand the program and its purpose. It is NOT like Configurator 1 so if you’re expecting a fancier version of Configurator 1 then you’re going to be confused. To be completely honest, I didn't do as much research as I could've, but I'm strapped for time at the moment, and thought it better to post the question here and hope someone with more insight and experience with the software might be able to help me out with some advice. I'll spice that reply up because although it comes across as rude and uncalled for, it does add value. The configuration utility lets you set up configuration profiles and install provisioning profiles as well as applications, and lets you get information about iPhones, including their console logs. Configuration data can include security policies, VPN information, Wi-Fi settings, Exchange account settings, and certificates that allow you to use your iPhone and iPod touch to work in an enterprise environment. Presumably, this covers the ability to deploy applications in an enteprise environment, a feature that Steve Jobs touched upon in his Worldwide Developer Conference keynote speech last month. If you have a strong sense of logic you will appreciate this program. I use it all the time without issue. We have six hundred iPads at this school district, and each one is supervised and managed initially with Apple Configurator 2 and then remotely with Meraki MDM. Also, I see negative comments that just don’t make sense I think that some people don’t understand what it means to “supervise” a device. So, in other words, the average user probably will not understand how and why to use this but if you work in an IT Department for a school or business and manage multiple devices then this program works just fine.
