Our guide and driver, Gustavo Camacho and Dani Vargas were absolutely the best, engaging with us throughout every day to maximize the overall experience. The quetzal is a small, vibrantly colored bird, and it is very easy to spot here. It's best to plan a trip between December and May, which is the peak quetzal season. The park spans three types of rainforest and 14 different ecosystems, making it a great site for coyotes, tanagers, hummingbirds, jaguars and tapirs. The park also sits along both sides of the Rio Savegre, and is home to a diverse array of brightly colored tropical flowers. The vibrancy is easily apparent in this jewel of nature.

Transportation services were flawless! Pick ups were perfectly timed, every time. One of our flights from LA Fortuna to Quepos was late (could not be helped) and the operations officer Diego actually called us at the La Fortuna airport to let us know an alternate plan to get us to Quepos a little later than planned, but also to assure us that our transport was aware and will be there to pick us up (this was on a weekend as well).

We have traveled a lot and in our experience we have never experienced anything like the personal concern, care and communication provided by CRE.
